Del brings 4 decades of technical expertise to our family. And Zack brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Navy. Read on to learn about Del's nonprofit work and Zack's adventurous interests.
I’ve worked at MidCo Material Handling for one year.
I have 40-plus years of technical experience.
As I was repairing an industrial battery charger one day at a manufacturing site, I was asked if I would see if I could get an electric forklift back into operation. I looked at it and found it was an easy fix, and they paid me for it!
They are good people to work with, and it’s enjoyable.
The concern MidCo has for the customer is impressive.
Director of InFocus Pure Water Ministries – nonprofit work in Africa providing clean water to rural villages.
When the rain stops, I garden and kill weeds. I enjoy traveling also.
My favorite sports team is the Mariners. My favorite restaurant is Marzanos in Parkland.
My hobbies are propagating fig trees and collecting art.
I’ve worked at MidCo Power Solutions for 90 days.
I have 8 years of technical experience.
After separating from the Navy, I began searching for a job to call home. I gained quite a bit of experience at a hydraulic shop as well as at a heat exchanger shop. I applied to be an electric motor technician at MidCo and was happy to discover I'd be working on electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion systems on forklifts, thus giving me a variety of different things to work on day to day.
I really like the people here at MidCo. After dealing with many unreliable co-workers and unreasonable supervisors, MidCo is a breath of fresh air.
Within the 3 months I've worked at MidCo, I've already learned a lot. I have great mentors and/or supervisors to thank for that. I know teaching can be very stressful at times, but the people here have shown great patience, and I'm extremely thankful.
While working at the Naval Shipyard, I completed a magnaflux test on the entire drive shaft of the USS Pennsylvania. Also, while working at MidCo, the legendary technician Del taught me how to diagnose and rebuild electric motors. Within 3 months, I have become very confident diagnosing and rebuilding electric motors without supervision.
Motorcycling is my passion. I work all year to enjoy a week and a half of pure freedom riding by the seat of my pants attending random events like wrestling, rodeos, and live music.
The City Hall Saloon
My Great, Great Grandfather was one of the first men to bring Clydesdale horses to America from Scotland. I may or may not own a torpedo launch button from the USS Baltimore. I write music from time to time and play guitar.
Del and Zack have two very different sets of interests. One loves to garden, and the other is wild about motorcycles. Yet they both share an innate curiosity and a passion to learn more. We love those qualities in our Midco Power Solutions Team! Team members like Del and Zack are proof that a willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn is one of the hallmarks of a great power technician.
